Polyurethane foam cushioning. And so much more.

Sixty plus years ago, Carpenter Co. started making polyurethane foam. That was all we did. Basically, we wrote the book on comfort cushioning. But times have changed. And so has Carpenter Co.: True, we're still in the comfort cushioning business. But now we do so much more than just pour foam.

QUALITY.

When the competition is tough and customer loyalty is important, you need to be able to rely on minimum density standards. Not nominal. Because, in the bedding industry, "close enough" just isn't good enough. That's why Carpenter Co. produces quilting rolls and mattress toppers to minimum standards. We continually invest huge amounts of capital in state of the art equipment and efficient plant layouts to assure that we remain the low cost quality producer in the bedding industry.

INNOVATIONS.

It's attention to detail, really. We now produce more quilting rolls at faster speeds. And accuracy is more important than ever. Better roll compressors and automated cutting and packaging equipment for toppers make for greater product consistency. Our chemical engineers are continually developing new and improved foam formulations for bedding.

Our Reinhart Technical Center has added a sleep research lab that is devoted to improving sleep surfaces through the utilization of pressure mapping, temperature measurement and other sophisticated equipment which ultimately allow Carpenter Co. to service its customers with sleep products that improve restorative sleep and enhance today's active life styles. We have recently developed a line of versatile engineered foam mattress cores that are designed to deliver anatomically correct comfort and support. Our latest introduction involves mechanically induced hole-punch technology which improves foam ventilation, air flow and aids in sleep surface temperature regulation. We at Carpenter Co. have pledged to continue this type innovation for our customers as we go forward.

COMMITMENT.

At Carpenter Co., we pour and fabricate polyurethane foam for bedding applications, but that's not all we do. We also are the industry's leading processor of polyester fiber and offer thermal bonded, carded fibers for our bedding customers. Carpenter Co. has invested in eight state of the art, computer controlled card lines located strategically across North America. We are able to produce exactly the same customer specifications for quilting fiber and fiber insulator pads at each location. This insures that the fiber products we deliver to our customers will be the same from coast to coast.

It all adds up to an extremely diversified producer of comfort cushioning that's very, very committed to the bedding industry.
