Ambient products feature Holofiber®.
This new revolutionary textile has been scientifically shown to increase
circulation and oxygen levels when worn next to the skin.
Relieves Pain and Speeds Recovery
Holofiber® is embedded with microscopic mineral crystals that harness
certain wavelengths of light as well as the body's radiant energy and
redirect them into the body. This relaxes the capillaries in the skin,
increasing blood flow and oxygen delivery to the tissues in the immediate
area. When this fiber is woven into garments or bedding, it actually gives
them therapeutic properties.

Studies have been done comparing transcutaneous (skin) oxygen perfusion
levels in volunteers wearing socks and gloves made with this fiber against
placebo socks and gloves. One study involved 20 men, ages 58 to 78, who
had diabetes and circulatory problems in their extremities. Measurements
taken at ten-minute intervals for one hour revealed an eight percent higher
rate of oxygenation in their feet and a 12 percent higher rate in their
forearms when wearing the fiber, compared to wearing placebo socks and
gloves. Healthy men and women were tested in another study, and Holofiber
raised oxygen levels in their forearms by an average of 30 percent and
in their feet by 10 percent.
How Holofiber® Works
This thermographic image illustrates the delivery of oxygenated blood
flow throughout the entire body. Notice that the body wearing Holofiber
[left] shows dramatically increased oxygen in the tissue, while the wearer
of the non-Holofiber product [right] shows no increase.
Dr. Lawrence Lavery of Loyola University, an expert in diabetic complications
of the feet, has found this fiber to be extremely helpful in relieving
pain in recovery of slow-healing ulcers on the lower extremities. Others
report that it . . . reduces the pain and inflammation in musculoskeletal
injuries and arthritic joints.
This fiber has also been embraced by the athletic community. Increasing
oxygen levels in muscles boosts performance, as well as accelerating post-workout
and injury recovery time. Several sporting goods companies are incorporating
Holofiber into their clothing lines, for both warmth and performance enhancement.
One of the "Smart" Fabrics of the Future
Holofiber® is by no means the first "smart" fabric. There
are fibers with wicking materials that keep the feet dry, breathable fabrics
that repel water but allow moisture to escape. There are even fabrics
with built-in sensors that can monitor body temperature and other functions.
But Holofiber® is the only wearable fiber that actually increases
oxygenation of the skin and tissues.
