Carpenter Co. EPS is an excellent thermal barrier suitable for use in a variety of new construction and reproofing applications including loosely laid, mechanically fastened and direct to metal deck (where codes comply). Carpenter Co. EPS is compatible with a variety of commercial roofing membrane systems, including, but not limited to, single-ply ballasted, adhered or mechanically fastened, modified bitumens and built up roof (BUR) systems.

EPS Direct to Metal Deck Applications

Where local building code allows, EPS direct to metal deck has several advantages over other roof insulation products.

• Dimensional stability over time
• Lower cost per R-value than many other insulation products

In fact, we like it so much that we insist all new Carpenter Co. buildings and additions use EPS direct to metal deck whenever local building code allows.

This is the roof of our Lakeland, Florida addition.The building is fully sprinkler protected and the roof system is FM approved and insured.
